Zerona Procedure Guide
ZERONA® is a safe, body slimming, low-level laser proven to remove fat and reduce inches without invasive surgery. There are no needles, no incisions, and no recovery time needed. ZERONA works by emulsifying fat which is then released into the empty space called lymphatics around the fat cells. The excess fat is then passed through the body during its normal course of detoxification.
Dr. Paul Thaxton, medical director of Advanced Medical Weight Loss Augusta in Evans is the only doctor in this area of Georgia to use this state-of-the-art laser treatment.
Your Treatments, Step-by-Step
ZERONA was originally six treatment sessions, administered over two-weeks. However, many people found it difficult to have three treatments each week for a period of two weeks. A multisite study was then performed whereby participants received one treatment each week for a period of six weeks. This data was showed even better improvement and the data to the FDA who then gave clearance for weekly treatments as well. We now know from personal experience that even greater improvements can be obtained with additional treatments.
The low-level, cool touch laser does not produce heat, is completely non-invasive, and has never shown any recorded side effects. During the procedure, patients generally feel nothing.
- Before your first treatment and after your last, your measurements will be taken along with pictures and recorded.
- Remove your clothes, leaving your undergarments or bathing suit on, and lay down on the table wearing the safety goggles. The technician will direct the ZERONA lasers at the target areas.
- Total treatment time is approximately 60 minutes.
Achieve Your Maximum Success
By following these steps every day, you will achieve the maximum results from ZERONA:
Hydrate – Drink eight-ten 8 oz. glasses of water each day.
Walk – Maintain your regular workout routine. Muscle activity is to promote removal of fat through the lymphatics. Walk at least 30 minutes each day and especially after each treatment.. If you don’t work out, wear a compression garment such as Spanx or Under Armour.
Improve your diet – Eliminate alcohol and refined carbohydrates completely. Consume mostly proteins and vegetables. This allows your kidneys, liver and lymphatic systems to quickly purge the excess fat.
What You Can Expect
In clinical trials, patients lost an average of 3.64 inches from their waist, hip, and thighs after two week. Some patients lost as much as 9-11 inches overall. In the follow-up trial where patients received one treatment every week for six weeks, the average loss from waist, hip, and thighs was over five and a half inches. As with any procedure, results will vary and may be more dramatic from one patient to the next.
